No. The video is processed entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Video and Canvas APIs. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Your file stays on your device at all times.
Any format your browser supports — typically MP4 (H.264), WebM, and MOV. Most modern browsers handle MP4 and WebM natively. Very large files may slow down the canvas rendering.
The canvas scales to the container width. If the source video has a very high resolution, the canvas may downsample it. This is a display-only effect — the source video is unchanged.
The Pro version adds full mp4 export with all edits applied — trim, text overlay, brightness, and contrast — using ffmpeg.wasm, which processes the video locally without uploading it. Available in the Pro Intelligence Tools suite.
