Blurring an image is useful for backgrounds, thumbnails, censoring sensitive details, or creating a bokeh-style effect. This tool applies a live Gaussian blur to your image directly in the browser using the Canvas API.

Step 3 — Download the blurred image once you're happy with the result.
Blurring too much for the use case. A background blur usually looks best between 5–15px. Higher values work well for censoring details.
Blurring low-resolution images. Heavy blur on small images can look pixelated — start from a higher-resolution original when possible.
No, everything happens locally in your browser. The image is never uploaded.
